DENTURE
Dentures can be used to treat areas where three or more teeth have been lost, which bridge treatment cannot do. When replacing multiple missing teeth, they are less expensive than implants. In addition, there are many variations in dentures, from those covered by insurance to those that are not covered by private medical care, and they can be made to suit your symptoms.
Dentures are made by connecting several artificial teeth with artificial resin. The dentures are fixed to healthy surrounding teeth or gums to restore the ability to chew food. This is a treatment method that is mainly suitable for those who have lost three or more teeth. If all teeth are missing, a "complete denture" is inserted, and if some are missing, a "partial denture" is inserted. Unlike bridges and implants, dentures are removable.
Since there are no restrictions on materials, etc. for self-paid dentures, patients can receive treatment in the way that best suits them. This means that the dentures you get will be completely different from those covered by insurance, not only in terms of chewing, but also in terms of pronunciation, taste, and prognosis. The products and prices that can be applied vary depending on the case, so please feel free to contact our staff.
Non-clasp dentures are dentures that do not use metal fittings. Therefore, there is no need to worry about metal allergies, and they look so natural that it blends in with the surrounding natural teeth, making it difficult to tell that you are wearing dentures. They are recommended for people who don't want others to notice that they are wearing dentures and find it difficult to smile or speak. The thin, elastic, soft material fits snugly against the gums, making them comfortable to wear. Not only do they make dentures less likely to fall out, but they also eliminate the gap between the gums and dentures, making it less likely for food to get stuck during meals.
It is made of metal, so it is strong and can be made extremely thin. This improves thermal conductivity and reduces taste disorders, and because it is thin, it also improves pronunciation. It can be designed for not only complete dentures, but also partial dentures.
If there are several teeth remaining in the mouth, a metal cap will be placed after treatment, and then a metal outer crown will be placed on top of that to hold the entire denture in place. It is fixed to a precisely made metal base using a similar principle to a tea canister.
What makes them different from regular dentures is that screw-like implants are embedded in the bone and the dentures are fixed on top of them. This dramatically increases support, improving chewing power and stability. It is also expected to dramatically improve speech and taste, restoring normal functions. All implant-type denture products are also covered by the National Dental Association.
Even if you have no teeth left, you can have several implants placed to completely stabilize your teeth. They are durable, beautiful, and can be used almost just like natural teeth in terms of chewing.
A metal plate is fixed to the top of several implants, and a magnet is attached to the back of the denture, using magnetic force to hold it in place.
By using several implants in a complete denture, you can expect comfortable support. The dentures are stabilized using plastic rings, and with proper maintenance, they can be used for a long time.
When you are missing teeth, in addition to dentures, there are other options such as implants and bridges (treatment in which the teeth on either side of the missing tooth are filed down and a cap made of three connected teeth is placed). Partial dentures (if covered by insurance) and bridges rely on the surrounding teeth for support. For this reason, they may not be suitable if the surrounding teeth are loose or missing. Each treatment has its own advantages and disadvantages, so be sure to consult with your doctor before deciding.
