Periodontal disease treatment
Periodontal disease is a condition that affects more than 80% of adults.
This is the leading cause of tooth loss.

INTRODUCTION
Symptoms of Periodontal Disease
Periodontal disease begins to cause symptoms, and by the time you notice it, it is already too late and your teeth are about to fall out. By the time symptoms appear, the infected tooth is not limited to one, and in most cases other teeth are also infected, so several teeth may fall out at once.
Progression of periodontal disease
Healthy Teeth

The gums are firm, coral pink in color, and elastic, and do not bleed when brushing.
Gingivitis

Red spots may appear on the gums, and they may bleed when brushing the teeth. You may also feel as if your teeth are loose, or your gums may feel itchy.
Moderate periodontitis

My gums sometimes become red, swollen, and painful, and I sometimes bleed or get pus. I also have bad breath and my teeth hurt when I eat cold food (sensitive teeth).
Severe periodontitis

The gums become soft and swollen, bleeding and oozing pus. Other obvious symptoms include loose teeth, bad breath, and difficulty chewing food.
Periodontal disease and overall health
Periodontal disease is not just a problem in your mouth; it can affect your entire body in a variety of ways.
How to prevent periodontal disease
Self Care

The key to preventing periodontal disease is to remove plaque by brushing your teeth after meals.
When brushing, place the bristles of the toothbrush at right angles to the surface of the teeth without applying pressure, and brush the entire tooth carefully and gently.
●It is important not only to brush the surface of your teeth, but also to care for the areas between your teeth and gums.
●To check whether you are removing plaque properly, it is effective to stain the plaque on the surface of your teeth at home once or twice a month using a tooth staining solution.
It is recommended that you keep these points in mind when brushing your teeth, as this will help prevent not only periodontal disease but also tooth decay.
Clinic Care

We recommend that you have your teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist at a dental clinic about once every three months. We also recommend that you have PMTC (a more thorough cleaning of your teeth and gums using a special machine) about twice a year.
