On February 17, 2026, a dental formation training session for the Tokushinkai Study Group (TSG) was held at Kasuga Dental Clinic.
Tokushinkai Study Group is a training course launched in 2024 with the aim of further improving the skills of medical staff and increasing patient satisfaction.
This training will be taught by a team of lecturers led by Dr. Kuribayashi Yuutaro, Head of Medical Department, and is open to medical staff from the Tokushinkai Group throughout the country.
This time, we gained a deeper understanding of "tooth preparation," including "abutment tooth preparation," which adjusts the shape of the original tooth in order to attach a crown.
Through classroom lectures and practical training using models, participants deepened their learning about adjustment methods to ensure that crowns are firmly attached without excessively grinding down the original teeth. They reaffirmed everything from designing cutting that does not burden the patient, to safe and appropriate shaping methods for the surrounding tissues and teeth, and how to angle the cutting surface.
While the quality of the crown is important to keep treated teeth in good condition for a long time, the underlying tooth is also extremely important. Dental treatment involves many aspects that are invisible to the patient, but our group thoroughly refines each and every technique so that patients can receive treatment with peace of mind.
