On May 2025, 9, Tokushinkai Study Group (TSG) held a dental hygienist training session at Tokushinkai Quartz Tower.
Tokushinkai Study Group is a training course that was launched in 2024 with the aim of further improving the skills of dentists and dental hygienists and increasing patient satisfaction.
This training will be taught by a team of lecturers led by Dr. Kuribayashi Yuutaro, Head of Medical Department, and is open to medical staff from the Tokushinkai Group throughout the country.
This time, the lecturers were dental hygienist managers from across the group, and participants gained a deeper understanding of periodontal disease treatment from various angles.
The first half of the course consisted of a lecture on etiology, a case study of bacterial testing, and a review of the correct use of medical instruments. The second half included practical training in gum peeling (a treatment that uses medication and lasers to restore gums that have darkened due to periodontal disease or smoking habits to a healthy pink color).
It is said that approximately 8% of adults suffer from periodontal disease, and it is also known as a "national disease." It is a terrible disease that progresses without any noticeable symptoms and affects the health of the entire body. Our dental hygienists regularly study the latest knowledge and practical skills so that each individual can perform periodontal treatment appropriately, contributing to the health of the local community.
