On May 2025, 11, Tokushinkai Study Group (TSG) held a dental hygienist training session at Tokushinkai Quartz Tower.
Tokushinkai Study Group is a training course launched in 2024 with the aim of further improving the skills of medical staff and increasing patient satisfaction.
This training will be taught by a team of lecturers led by Dr. Kuribayashi Yuutaro, Head of Medical Department, and is open to medical staff from the Tokushinkai Group throughout the country.
This time, we invited Professor Hiromasa Yoshie, Emeritus Professor of Niigata University, to give a training session for young dental hygienists.
In the first half of the course, participants learned through lectures the theory of appropriate ultrasonic scaling based on test findings such as root shape, periodontal pocket depth, and bone resorption (the phenomenon in which the alveolar bone that supports the teeth dissolves and decreases). In the second half of the practical session, participants worked in pairs to review the procedure, with Dr. Yoshie personally demonstrating the technique using a model.
As the shift from "medical treatment" to "medical treatment" progresses, the role of dental hygienists who support overall health through oral maintenance is expanding. Through this type of training, our group strives to develop dental hygienists who can contribute to improving the quality of life of patients and promoting the health of the local community.
