Dental assistant training held by Tokushinkai Study Group (TSG)

2025/5/25

On May 2025, 5, we held a dental assistant event for the Tokushinkai Study Group (TSG) at Kasuga Dental Clinic.

Tokushinkai Study Group is a training course launched in 2024 with the aim of further improving the skills of medical staff and increasing patient satisfaction.
This training will be taught by a team of lecturers led by Dr. Kuribayashi Yuutaro, Head of Medical Department, and is open to medical staff from the Tokushinkai Group throughout the country.

On this day, a web conferencing system was used to connect dental assistants from across the group and a training session was held to develop TCs (treatment coordinators). TCs stand between dentists and patients, providing counseling and explaining treatment. They also grasp the overall picture of treatment and act as a control tower for each profession, including dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and dental receptionists. This time, the participants deepened their understanding through classroom training about what an ideal TC should be and the type of treatment and counseling that patients want.

In order to ensure that patients can receive high-quality treatment with peace of mind, our group will continue to hold training sessions like this on a regular basis and strive to develop excellent TCs who are able to fully understand patients' concerns and worries.
