Comment from Doctor
It is important to accurately assess the condition of your teeth.
In case of difficult tooth extraction,Accurately determine where the wisdom tooth is growing, the shape of the root, and its relationship to the surrounding nerves and blood vessels. Our clinic is fully equipped with CT scanners, which allows us to accurately grasp the position and shape of the teeth as well as the condition of the surrounding tissues.
Three cases in which you should consider wisdom tooth removal
Whether or not wisdom teeth need to be removed is a case-by-case basis. You should consider having them removed if:
case.1When pushing the teeth in front changes the alignment
When the wisdom teeth push against the teeth in front of them, the bite changes, which can cause temporomandibular joint disorder and headaches.
case.2When it affects the surrounding tissues such as gums
When wisdom teeth erupt they can bite into the gums and cause pain.
case.3When the wisdom tooth itself has cavities or periodontal disease
If your toothbrush cannot reach your wisdom teeth, you may develop cavities or gum disease. If left untreated, it can infect other teeth and, if the condition worsens, you may be forced to have the tooth extracted.
Wisdom teeth extraction procedure
STEP.1 Counseling
We will review the patient's medical history, chronic illnesses, requests, and dental condition, and explain the treatment process.
STEP.2 Detailed examination and diagnosis
A diagnosis is made using x-rays, models, photographs, and a medical interview.
Based on these results, we will create a treatment plan. We will also explain the treatment method, treatment period, and costs, and only begin treatment after discussing the details with you to ensure that you are satisfied with the treatment.
STEP.3 Tooth extraction preparation
If inflammation occurs, anesthesia will not work well, so you will be given antibiotics to suppress the inflammation. In addition, your mouth will be cleaned to reduce the bacteria in your mouth, which will affect how well you heal after tooth extraction.
STEP.4 麻 酔
We will give you a thorough anesthetic so that you do not feel any pain during the extraction. After administering a topical anesthetic to make you feel no pain from the injection, we will administer the anesthetic via injection. If the wisdom tooth is covered by gums, we will cut the gums to expose the head of the wisdom tooth.
STEP.5 Tooth extraction
The wisdom teeth are extracted (luxated) using tools. If the wisdom teeth are growing sideways or at an angle, they are divided into several pieces and removed. The incision in the gums is stitched up. In some cases, a medicine that helps blood clot may be used at the wound.
STEP.6 After tooth extraction
About a week after the tooth extraction, the wound will be checked and if there are no problems, the stitches will be removed.
