medical policy POLICY

Our group's medical policy

Our group provides dental treatment centered on preventive dentistry. However, at the core of our work is our desire to be a dental clinic that can help those in need.

Many patients visit the clinic complaining of pain or other problems. It is a common understanding at the clinic that not only dentists, but all staff members, including receptionists and dental hygienists, listen carefully to what patients have to say and create the best treatment plan and diagnosis.

Dental treatment begins with prevention

As shown in the image, teeth have a lifespan, and as the number of healthy teeth decreases through repeated treatment, the lifespan shortens. In order to stop this process, the first thing you need to do is to "prevent tooth decay."

In Japan, the treatment of "drilling and filling cavities" has taken root, and Japan has lagged behind the developed countries of Europe and the United States in terms of dentistry, but by following the example of the West, where people maintain healthy teeth even in old age, the idea of prevention is becoming more common in Japan as well. We would like to provide accurate information about teeth to our patients and support them in living a long and healthy life.

Treatment policy that takes care of teeth by not grinding them down as much as possible

Even though we focus on preventive dentistry, there are of course many opportunities to treat cavities. Our clinic has a policy called minimal intervention (MI treatment). This is the idea of not grinding or extracting healthy teeth as much as possible in dental treatment as a whole.

A typical MI treatment method is "direct bonding treatment" that uses composite resin. Conventionally, if there was a cavity, it was necessary to grind down a slightly larger area, including healthy teeth, to make room for a filling, but with direct bonding treatment, the amount of tooth grinding is kept to a minimum, and treatment is completed by pouring the latest resin material containing ceramic directly into the tooth. It is a groundbreaking method that is highly bonded to the tooth and is less likely to cause secondary cavities. However, direct bonding treatment is an elective treatment, so we provide a thorough explanation before recommending it.

We look forward to seeing you at the clinic

When you think about what makes a good dental clinic, you will find one that provides thorough explanations of treatment. And I think the ideal thing for a dental clinic that is also a local family doctor is to understand patients, not just their oral cavity, but also their lifestyle habits. We listen to what our patients have to say, and we want to become a primary medical institution that can handle a variety of diseases, including dental care. We look forward to seeing you at Esaka Dental Clinic.

Celebrating its 45th year since establishment
About Tokushinkai Medical Corporation Group

The Tokushinkai Group began in 1981 in the former Niitsu City, Niigata Prefecture (now Akiha Ward, Niigata City), a small rural town with a population of about 6.
We started out as a typical small dental clinic with three treatment units and six staff members, but since our founding we have always strived to provide patient-centered dental care.
Furthermore, ever since our founding, we have had doubts about the outdated dental industry, and with the aim of "creating the world's best dental group," we have sought to break away from an industry dependent on the state and instead build an organization that contributes to the nation.
As of September 45, 2025 years after our founding, we have grown into an organization with 10 locations around the world, employing over 102 staff members representing 10 nationalities.
Within Japan, we are one of the largest dental medical groups, treating approximately 0.3 patients per year, which is equivalent to approximately 70% of the total number of dental patients in the nation.
Additionally, in the field of dental technology, we have manufacturing bases and design centers in Japan, the United States (LA, Dallas), Myanmar, and Thailand (Bangkok), and are involved in the manufacture of dental prostheses for countries all over the world.
The Tokushinkai Group will continue to develop people and organizations that will help bring back confidence and vitality to Japan through the field of dentistry.

The meaning of these questions was clarified, and the motto was drafted with the desire to "be like this" and "have to be like this."
